President Museveni has finally bowed down to pressure and is set to flag off the construction works today on Najjanankumbi – Busabala road (11km) which leads to One Love Beach owned by his political challenger Robert Kyagulanyi, and Munyonyo Spur Improvements and Service Roads.

The shs 258 billion project traverses the districts of Kampala and Wakiso specifically in the Rubaga Division and Makindye-Ssabagabo Municipality.
Earlier, president Museveni had stubborny refused to officiate the construction works claiming that it would be interpreted as a gesture that he has feared his major opponent Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine, a popstar who joined politics and apparently contends for the top seat of presidency. Sources reveal that Mr. Museveni had reluctantly denied the project funding anid cries from the locals and some top government officials like MP Thomas Tayebwa who stay in that particular neighbourhood.
“After realising that he needs the votes from the local community, he has revised his decision and green lighted the commencement of the works,” a resident who serves in government says. “We always tell these people that it should not be about politics. Why should your political beef on Bobi Wine affect a full community?,” he adds
