The Wednesday raid on the National Unity Platform party offices has returned hopes among some Ugandans especially the elites who have been adamant about accepting Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine as the right challenger to Museveni.

Moments after the raid, all daily papers like Aljazeera, BBC, Daily Mail and major global dailies wrote about Kyagulanyi Ssentamu and put him back to the spotlight. Like Tamale Mirundi has been reiterating, “Bobi Wine’s biggest campaign manager is the NRM government.” On several times, Mirundi’s prophesy has always manifested. Whenever the regime takes off the gloves to go bare knuckles with Bobi Wine, he ends up defeating them in their own game. In the post Arua byelection treason case, the state prosecutors paraded guns before the courts of law and told the judge that Kyagulanyi had them in possession at the time of the alleged attack on Museveni’s convoy. Another latest tragedy is recent when the regime through one of its puppet lawyers, Male Mabirizi Kiwanuka exposed Kyagulanyi’s academic credentials. In the end, guns shifted back to Museveni as the public demanded and still demands for his credentials but all in vain. The thing he has changed so far is only his name, Tibahaburwa but has maintained silence on the credentials.
Like we reported a few days ago, the raid was timed just a stone throw away from the submission of presidential endorsement signatures to the Electoral Commission. Museveni knew that if he would attack Kyagulanyi a few days to the deadline, it would be hard for him to raise the required signatures in that limited time. But however, Kyagulanyi on Sunday again defeated Museveni when he announced that over 33,000 Ugandana had voluntarily sent their signatures endorsing his bid. This again shows that Ugandans are more than ready to stand with Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert on the 2021 ballot.
