Ugandan singer Rickman Manrick, real name Derrick Ddungu, is counting his blessings after surviving a terrifying car fire that destroyed his vehicle while he was traveling back to Kampala from a show in Fort Portal.
The incident happened on Sunday, March 8, shortly after the singer had wrapped up a successful performance in the western Ugandan town. Rickman and members of his music camp were on their way back to Kampala when their journey suddenly turned into a frightening ordeal.
According to reports, the car they were traveling in caught fire along the way. The driver quickly pulled over in an attempt to control the situation as flames began to spread. Rickman and his team tried to put out the fire, but their efforts proved futile as the blaze intensified and eventually consumed the entire vehicle.
Within minutes, the car was completely destroyed, leaving nothing but burnt remains by the roadside. Despite the shocking experience, the singer and everyone in the vehicle managed to escape unharmed, something Rickman believes was nothing short of divine protection.

Although visibly shaken by the ordeal, the singer did not allow the incident to halt his journey. After the fire destroyed the car, he arranged alternative transport and continued his trip back to Kampala.
