The rapper tips her hat to the Western Uganda star while insisting TikTokers should collect their money upfront when taking part in music challenges.

Rapper Recho Rey has thrown her weight behind Ray G, declaring his concert the most successful in Uganda this year so far, in a glowing endorsement of the Western Uganda singer’s impressive show.
Speaking in an interview with Galaxy TV, Recho Rey singled out Ray G’s concert as the standout event among the major shows held this year, arguing that the singer had set the bar high despite the year still having some time to go.
“Without discrediting anyone, because Vinka and King Saha also had successful concerts, Ray G’s was the most successful,” she said.

According to the rapper, the turnout alone spoke volumes, with thousands of revelers reportedly flocking to the airstrip for the show, turning it into a major celebration for the Oweishe singer.
Some artists also pulled huge crowds at their respective concerts, but Recho Rey maintained that Ray G’s performance and attendance gave him the edge in her assessment.
The rapper said she was simply giving the singer his flowers for what she considers a remarkable achievement, joining the voices celebrating his growing impact on Uganda’s entertainment scene.
But that was not the only industry issue Recho Rey addressed during the interview.
The rapper also weighed in on TikToker Zayra Baby’s recent claims that she had not been paid after working with a musician on a song they released together.
Recho Rey said she had listened to Zayra Baby’s entire interview but noted that she did not hear the TikToker mention her name.
She, however, used the discussion to make her position on music challenges clear, arguing that TikTokers who participate in promotional challenges should agree on payment and receive their money upfront rather than risk disputes later.

Her remarks add to the ongoing conversation about compensation for digital creators who help musicians promote their music and generate online buzz.
Recho Rey also gave flowers to several personalities making moves in the music industry, including Fik Fameica, Pretty Banks and Mimi Kampala, among others.
From celebrating Ray G’s concert achievement to speaking out on payment arrangements in music promotions, the rapper has made her views clear on what she believes matters in Uganda’s entertainment business.
