Karole Kasita refuses to choose sides between Cindy and Sheebah – Sqoop

Karole Kasita says her working relationship with Cindy Sanyu will not stop her from collaborating with Sheebah Karungi, despite the long-running rivalry between the two female music stars.

Kasita, who teamed up with Cindy on Mwoto, recently joined Sheebah on Bukutu, prompting questions about how she navigates her relationships with two artistes often viewed as rivals.

Appearing on KFM, the singer was asked how she could work with both musicians amid the tensions surrounding them. Her response was that she likes both women and sees no reason to limit her professional relationships because of their differences.

Kasita also reflected on the influence she believes she has among fellow artistes.

“I’ve noticed that I’m one of those artists my fellow artists look up to,” she said.

Her position suggests she is comfortable maintaining separate relationships with both singers without treating one collaboration as a declaration of allegiance against the other.

In an industry where fan loyalty can turn musical partnerships into perceived statements about rival camps, Kasita’s approach offers a different perspective: artists can appreciate one another and work together without being drawn into personal or professional disputes.

Her collaborations with Cindy and Sheebah also show that musical partnerships need not be restricted by existing rivalries. Kasita’s comments come as Bukutu brings her together with Sheebah, while her earlier collaboration with Cindy remains part of her musical catalogue. Rather than allowing those associations to define where she stands, the singer says she is happy to work with both.
