Midfielder Ibrahim Kayiwa is the player who was unveiled by the Red Eagles.
He rejoins the club as a free agent after his contract with Tooro United FC was terminated at the end of last season.
He is understood to have penned a two-year deal at the Wankulukuku based side for whom he will feature until 2022.
Speaking during his unveiling, the 25-year old noted that he is glad to b back ‘home’ and targeting winning titles with the Red Eagles.
“I am glad to be back at Express FC. He said.
“For me, this has always been home and just like all my other teammates, the target is to chase Silverware and we can only achieve that by working hard.”
Kayiwa is not new to the Express FC set-up as he has been there twice before.
His first stint dates back to 2014, a season that saw him flourish as he scored 7 goals and managed 10 assists in 27 games.
After impressing, he then moved on to Vipers SC, then to Kirinya Jinja SS before returning to Wankulukuku in 2017.
After a troubled one-year stint at Tooro United FC, Kayiwa has opted to return to Express FC and reunite with head coach Wasswa Bbosa, who signed him for the Car Dealers in 2019.
Having let go of over 15 players, the Red Eagles have now signed 13 players and expected to continue in the same vein.
The others that have so far come in include, Denis Otim, Richard Bbosa, Abel Eturude, Baker Sakah, Isaac Nsengiyunva, Yaya Mahad Kakooza, Kiragga Mustafa, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Cryspus Kusima, Charles Musige, John Byamukama and Faizo Ssekyanzi .
Last season, Bbosa’s side finished 9th with 31 points from 25 games.
