KCB Bank Uganda has launched a groundbreaking initiative to empower women entrepreneurs, bolstering its commitment to fostering an ecosystem where women-led enterprises can thrive.
The initiative, unveiled in partnership with Mkazipreneur, aims to bridge the gender gap in accessing financial services, providing women with tailored financial solutions, mentorship, and strategic networking opportunities.
According to KCB Bank Uganda, the programme is designed to equip women entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and expertise to navigate the complexities of financial management, market penetration, and long-term business sustainability.
Miranda Bageine Musoke, KCB Bank Uganda’s Head of Retail Banking, emphasized the bank’s dedication to driving women’s economic empowerment through financial inclusion.
“We recognize the transformative power of financial inclusion in driving women’s economic empowerment,” Musoke said. “Our goal is to provide tailored financial solutions that meet the unique needs of women entrepreneurs, empowering them to grow and sustain their businesses.”
The initiative has been hailed as a significant step forward in promoting gender equality and women’s economic empowerment in Uganda, where women constitute a significant portion of the country’s business owners.
Industry experts lauded the partnership between KCB Bank Uganda and Mkazipreneur, citing its potential to drive meaningful change in the lives of women entrepreneurs.
