The army have deployed military choppers as Bobi Wine resumes campaigns (PHOTO/Courtesy).KAMPALA — Journalists covering Bobi Wine rally in Kalangala say a military helicopter is hovering at a low-altitude above Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine supporters.
In a separate social media post, Sadab Kittata Kaaya of The Observer said that one of the military choppers landed at Kibanga Primary School playground with Military Police soldiers who reinforced the Police to block the road from Bugoma to Kalangala Town Council.
“At Kigere kyanjovu forest, you literally need a visa to go through the thick columns of soldiers and police personnel armed with all tribes of weapons,” he posted.
Another reporter said police has deployed heavily in the island district
“The 1st ferry came with 12 police trucks.Then the 11am ferry that brought Bobi Wine had another 4 police trucks – 2 lorries & 2 pick-ups. But they’all stranded at Bugoma (Luku) landing site coz they came with no speedboats to follow Bobi Wine”.
Earlier, photos shared by NTV show security presence as Bobi Wine and team crossed to Kalangala island for the first campaign meeting of the day.

NUP claimed he died after being run over by a military vehicle. The army, through spokesperson Brig. Flavia Byekwaso, responded by saying that he “fell off a speeding car Reg No UBF 850Z (drone)” that he had tried to jump on to.
