Vivo Energy Uganda, the distributor and marketer of Shell-branded fuels and lubricants, has successfully concluded its highly anticipated “Simbula ne Rimula R3X” campaign by awarding two lucky winners brand-new Mitsubishi Canter trucks.
The two lucky winners of this edition’s Simbula ne Rimula R3X campaign are Cerali Ssembatya from Mbarara and Jamir Ssemuddu from Bunamwaya. Both received the ownership cards, keys, and number plates for their cars, along with a full tank of fuel.
Held at Shell Kawempe, the grand finale marked the climax of about Five months promotion aimed at rewarding loyal customers of Shell Rimula R3X, a premium engine oil designed for heavy-duty vehicles.
While speaking at the giveaway, Joanita Menya Mukasa, the Managing Director of Vivo Energy Uganda, expressed her joy in rewarding two loyal customers with commercial trucks for using their oil to service their vehicles.
“Wee are privileged to reward two privileged customers that are commercial customers, because we understand the value of their vehicles and what they do for us and what they need to optimize the service of this vehicle.” She said.
She added that they have invested over UGX 200 million in this campaign to support customers in this tough economy, helping them optimize their routes and maximize their earnings with the right oil and service.
“The campaign has costed us over 200 million Uganda shillings. But I think why?, Because we understand that the economy runs a lot on this commercial vehicles, and we appreciate the constraints they go through, especially with our road infrastructure. They need a better oil and a stronger oil and heavier for that matter, because they need, they need to optimize and make more money as they go around their business.” She added.
The managing director also highlighted that in light of the new UNBS recommendations, they are committed to helping their customers transition to a lubricant that not only meets UNBS standards but also enhances vehicle performance.
“Shell Rimula R3X delivers superior protection and improved fuel economy, ensuring engines run stronger for longer. This results in greater efficiency and increased earnings for our commercial transport customers in their day-to-day operations.” She added.
Rebecca Nassiwa, the Lubricants Brand Manager for Vivo Energy Uganda, noted that they have rewarded over 5,000 customers with various prizes.
“Simbula ne Rimula R3X’ has seen us reward over 5,000 customers, with more than 3,000 winning prizes such as full tanks of fuel, airtime, branded merchandise, Shell Coolant, and more.
Nassiwa added that Shell Rimula R3X has helped their customers reduce maintenance costs and spend more time on the road.”Additionally, the benefits of Shell Rimula R3X, with its triple-action formula helping them save on maintenance costs and spend more time on the road. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are thrilled to see how this product has made a meaningful impact on taxi, truck, and elf drivers, as well as their commercial transport business.” She said.
Francis Kayoki, the Lubricants Sales Manager for Vivo Energy Uganda, congratulated the winners. He added that this reward is meant to give back to the hardworking community and empower customers to take their businesses to the next level.
“As we conclude this campaign, we are thrilled to announce the final two winners of our grand prizes—two brand-new Mitsubishi Canter trucks. One lucky winner from Shell Katwe station and another from a reseller outlet in Mbarara will drive away with these trucks, empowering them to take their businesses to the next level. This initiative is our way of giving back to the hardworking community that keeps Uganda moving forward,” He said
Jamir Ssemuddu, a resident of Bunamwaya and a winner of a Mitsubishi Canter, praised Shell for this campaign, stating that it has helped him transition quickly from an employee to a business owner.
“I’ve been working for my boss at the Bunamwaya stage, but now that I have received my brand-new Canter, I will be driving my own vehicle from today onwards. I am optimistic that this will improve my standard of living. I thank Shell for this opportunity.” Jamir Ssemuddu said.
Cerali Ssembatya, a winner from Mbarara, noted that he has been using Shell products without realizing that one day they would help transform his life. He added that with his brand-new Canter, his family will now be able to get everything they need, as he has long been working for his boss.
He urged Ugandans to participate in promotions like Simbula ne Rimula R3X, emphasizing that they are not scams, as some may claim.
“I call upon all Ugandans to believe in promotions brought by Shell because they’re real and life changing” he noted.
The campaign, which was launched to appreciate and empower hardworking Ugandan transporters and business owners, has attracted thousands of participants from across the country, created excitement and promoted the benefits of Shell Rimula R3X lubricant to customers across Uganda
