Byamugisha, Chief of Health Services, on February 7th, 2025.The advisory outlines key preventive measures including avoiding handshakes, maintaining proper hand hygiene with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitizers, and using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where necessary.The hospital emphasizes that Ebola has an incubation period of 2-21 days, with symptoms including high fever, abdominal pain, and possible bleeding from various body openings. All community members are urged to avoid direct contact with suspected cases or contaminated areas.The notice follows confirmation of various ebola cases and contacts in Kampala, hence the need for more vigilance.
