US-based Branding and Marketing Strategist, and Multimedia Journalist Madison Jaye offered a Kenyan model Nyokabi Mukora, a free spot on a billboard in New York City.
Jaye was moved after Nyokabi received backlash on Twitter for a photo she posted of herself in an advertisement stating that she was “on a billboard.”
In response, Kenyans trolled her stating that her photo was not on a billboard and instead it been put on a fence.

Nyokabi Mukora, Madison Jaye Angered by what she termed as online bullying, Jaye took to social media on Saturday, March 18, and offered to put Nyokabi’s photo on a billboard in New York City.
“I am a partner in Billboards in Times Square and 1,500 across America.
“With permission from the owner of the image I would like to put you on a billboard in New York City free of charge,” Jaye stated.
According to Jaye, she would use that as a way of sensitizing others on the effects of online bullying adding that she had also gone through a similar experience.
“I am just honoured to be able to play a small role in the great things she will do in this world.
“I went from eating at soup kitchens, to not just being on billboards around the world but being able to put others on billboards around the world. Integrity will take u places no man has seen, never give up,” Jaye stated.
The Multimedia journalist shared her humble beginnings noting that before her success, she was hurt by individuals on the internet who bullied and laughed at her.
“I know what it feels like to have the world laugh at u when all u want to do is see your dreams come true. It is one of the most hurtful things to heal from,” added Jaye.
Madison Jaye is a nine-time award-winning journalist and communications strategist and marketer who has worked with Beyonce, and Steve Harvey.
Her first award was the 2014 Emerging Journalist of the Year and she has since bagged eight diverse awards including the International Trendsetter award which was presented by the Minister of the United Nations.
Additionally, she is a TED speaker who has covered events for Oprah, Vogue Magazine, Rihanna, Khloe Kardashian and Queen Latifah.
