Former State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena on Tuesday, November 15, revealed how she was treated to a surprise party by her former President’s Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU) team.
In a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Kanze was seen talking on phone while her former colleagues, who were hiding caught her by surprise.
Kanze could not hide her joy as she thanked former colleagues. The party that ran till dusk saw the group share the cake.

Kanze Dena “I always thought I know how to surprise people but these ones are on another level. No one has ever done this to me the way the PSCU team did.
Mercy, I’m grateful. We have gone through a lot together. Your presence, unity and respect and God’s grace will be cherished. Let’s move forward together. Love first, God love forever,” stated Kanze.
While handing over the spokesperson docket to Hussein Mohammed, on October 21, the former Citizen TV presenter thanked President William Ruto for a smooth transition.
She went on to express confidence in Mohammed’s competence while taking up the position adding that she trusted him in taking the role.
Kanze shared photographs from her most treasured events over the previous five years, including her marriage and becoming a mother, in a social media post titled “The Completion of a Season.”
The former TV anchor expressed her gratitude to former President Uhuru Kenyatta for granting her the chance to work for him.
Uhuru Kenyatta named Kanze as State House spokesman in the Executive Office of the President in 2017.
As the first woman in Kenyan history to hold the post, she would also serve as the head of the President’s Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU).
“Let me take this opportunity to thank the PSCU team, the season would not have been successful without your support. I will always treasure you; Colleagues at State House, ministries, parastatals, stakeholders, etc, I thank you all,” Kanze wrote as she signed off.
