Kenya Railways Corporation has carried on with demolitions of multi-million businesses as it prepares to unveil a new route.
Videos seen by Kenyans.co.ke on Tuesday, February 16, showed bulldozers bring down buildings in Ol Kalou township in Nyandarua County.
Some of the structures that were flattened included a four-story building which the Corporation claimed was constructed on its land.
It was estimated that over 3,000 people were left stranded in the demolitions.

Twitter “We will have a railway but no good roads to transport our goods to the train station. You should make the roads first.
“We see our leaders have gone into hiding when our people are suffering and even dying. We have not seen them here standing with us,” decried a victim
The demolitions are part of the rehabilitation of the Railway line linking Nakuru to Nyahururu set to be launched by KRC after completion of the rehabilitation exercise.Â
400 youth from Nyandarua are currently involved in its rehabilitation.
The Central Region Economic Bloc (CeREB) has noted that transport and connectivity are crucial in placing the bloc as a key player in national and even regional socio-economic map.
The demolitions come days after residents in Nakuru, Naivasha and Nyandarua suffered the same fate and institutions like schools were also not spared in the purge.
On Friday, February 12, 350 learners of Blescohouse Premier School were left stranded after Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) demolished their classes.
A teacher from the school told the media that they received a notice from KRC on Thursday afternoon, February 11, informing them that its perimeter wall was on government land.
