A police officer shot at three thugs who had held two ladies hostage while they were commuting to work on the morning of Tuesday, October 5.A statement shared by DCI indicated that the three, who were working in cahoots, accosted the ladies at Capitol Hill Estate in Ruai, Nairobi.The two, who were identified as Anne Wanjiru and Lilian Mueni, were in the company of Sergeant Samuel Mutuku, a police officer from the Administrative Police Service (APS) who was also headed to his workplace at the time.While witnessing the incident, Mutuku unholstered his firearm, a ceska semi-automatic pistol, loaded with enough rounds of 9mm and ordered the thugs surrender.
