Police in Kampala has cautioned and released a group of over 30 teenagers who were arrested Thursday afternoon for congregating for a house party, in violation of Covid preventive guidelines.
They were arrested in Bukoto where they were having a party in one of their friend’s house.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy spokesperson, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire said the arrests followed a complaint about a group of over 100 teens, who had gathered in one house and were making too much noise for the community.
Police found exhibits like sisha pots and alcohol in the house.
“The teenagers were today cautioned after the police engagement with their parents and released unconditionally. We want to urge parents to at all time make sure their children are safe and are not engaging in any criminal activities” Owoyesigyire said.
