Reporter Clobbered by Police After Filming Them Assaulting Motorist [VIDEO] – Kenyans.co.ke Skip to main content A police officer assaulting a motorist along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway on Friday 25 December 2020.TwitterPolice left a KBC correspondent, Simon Ben with serious injuries after clobbering him for filming an altercation between them and a motorist along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway.The incident happened on Friday, December 25 and is said to have been caused by the huge traffic snarl-up along the busy highway that pitted the officers against members of the public.The brawl between the police and the motorist was sparked by one of the officers who hit a car that was stuck in the heavy traffic using a swagger stick. Take a photo of how he has hit and damaged my car,” said the angry motorist to the journalist filming.The officer then proceeded to push the motorist and chocked him before other police officers joined in to rain blows on the man.A female officer who had rushed to beat up the motorist was captured on tape asking, “Who are you to push a police officer?”Upon realising that Simon Ben had recorded the whole incident, the three officers turned to him and clobbered him, leaving him with serious injuries.The officers then turned on his equipment as they destroyed one of his phones but he was lucky they failed to lay their hands on his professional camera.His other phone was also lost during the melee as he later sought treatment at the Nakuru Provincial General Hospital where he was attended to.The matter has since been reported to Nakuru Central Police Station by the correspondent. The incident came two days after Senior Citizen TV news editor Muraya Kariuki was arrested and assaulted by police officers.Watch Video Below: Kenyans.co.ke   ©   2020   All Rights Reserved
