Dr Stella Nyanzi has complained about the arrest of university students who had staged a protest march to parliament on Thursday May 5th, 2022 to petition against the increasing prices of commodities in the country.
Among the arrested is David Musiri, the head of institutions at National Unity Platform (NUP) and renown long time lover to Dr Stella Nyanzi.
“My lover is among the arrested university students who are from Makerere University, Kyambogo University, Gulu University and MUBS!” Stella Nyanzi lamented on her Facebook.
Over 38 students were arrested during the protest march to parliament and are currently being detained by Uganda police.
University students had staged a unison protest to express their dissatisfaction with the skyrocketing prices of commodities in the country.
