Student Arrested With Machete Planning to Attack Teacher

A form two student at Mokwerero Secondary school, Nyamira County, was arrested after he was found brandishing a machete within the school compound. Reports indicated that the 18-year-old student had plans to hack Deputy Principal Jared Morara with the weapon, claims the police are yet to verify.The student was reportedly seized by one of the teachers who found him sharpening the machete as he planned to attack the teacher on Wednesday morning, January 13. The student allegedly committed the act after being summoned to the teacher’s staff room and reprimanded for reporting to class late.The two teachers were rushed to Ram hospital in Kisii town after they sustained injuries.
