In a move aimed at supporting academically gifted but financially constrained students, Valley University of Science and Technology (VUST) has once again rolled out the prestigious Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship. The scholarship targets Ugandan students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance at both A and O levels.Accordingly, the scholarship is open to students who scored at least 12 points at A-level and obtained 5 credits at O-level. The selected students will only functional fees of Ugx. 300,000/= per semester for undergraduate programmes at VUST. This initiative is part of VUST’s commitment to promoting higher education access and ensuring that financial hardships do not hinder brilliant students from achieving their academic dreams.Announcing the scholarship, the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Enos Rwasheema, emphasized the University’s dedication to nurturing future leaders. “At Valley University of Science and Technology, we believe that talent and intelligence should not be wasted due to financial constraints. Through this scholarship, we aim to give bright but needy students an opportunity to pursue quality education and contribute meaningfully to society,” Dr. Rwasheema stated.The scholarship offer will run until April 30, 2025, giving eligible students ample time to apply and secure a place at the University.
