KISORO– 242 COVID-19 tests were on Wednesday conducted among the 98 new arrivals and 144 relocated refugees where 12 tested positive for the virus.
The cumulative number of tests for the new arrivals and positive cases since 28th of March 2022 are 24,862 and 319 respectively.
Information obtained by this reporter indicates that 43 have since been discharged from isolation upon testing negative for COVID-19, leaving a balance of 140 active cases by the end of yesterday.
RDC Shafique Ssekandi Ssengoba also said that the district received assorted medical equipment and supplies from Malteser International to support the refugees receiving care at Nyakabande HC III and Kisoro Hospital and that COVID-19 Vaccination for the refugees was halted due to the absence of the Smart Paper Technology booklets.
