NEWS– The Democratic Union of Africa has today ended a one week meeting on harmonizing the art of coalition building in political parties in Africa.
The meeting which took place at Noom Hotel in Abidjan the Capital City of Cote d’ivoire and was convened by Konrad Adenuer Stiftung run from 6th- 10th November 2022.
The Democrat Union of Africa is an alliance of centre-right political parties in Africa and was founded in Dakar, Senegal, in 1997.
It is affiliated with the global International Democrat Union and aims at bringing together parties with similar aims and political goals, such as the protection of democracy and individual liberty, from the whole of Africa, with its headquarters being found in Accra the capital city of Ghana.

During the conference the participants focused on the recent challenges to democracy in Africa, Election and Campaign strategies, financing and funding strategies.
Uganda was represented at the conference by Forum for Democratic Change Vice President for Western Uganda Hon Rolland Mugume Kaginda who is also the former Rukungiri Municipality Member of Parliament among many others.
Other countries which sent representatives to the conference include Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, Togo, Liberia, Mozambique, Benin, South Africa, Malawi, Ivory Coast, Namibia and Zambia.
