A security operative has reportedly shot dead three people in Jinja District.
An armed man Thursday opened fire at boda boda riders at Mafubira along Jinja-Iganga road.
Kiira region police spokesperson, Abbey Ngako, confirmed the shooting to Daily Monitor.
Witnesses told Daily Monitor a cop approached them, grabbed their colleague by the neck and when they intervened, he started shooting.
Two of the victims died on the spot.
The third victim, a woman who was shot in the thigh, died at Alshafa hospital in Mpumude, Jinja City.
