While addressing journalists at the NRM Secretariat offices at Kyadondo road, Mr. Balaam Barugahara the event organizer revealed that they are going to hold them on Thursday, December 31, at Kati Kati restaurant along Lugogo By- Pass starting from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm scientifically putting in practice all the Ministry of Health Guidelines to stem the spread of COVID- 19
“We intend to limit the number of participants from 500 to 200 and whoever finishes to perform will be leaving and that will be during the day while the rest of general public will be watching online” Balaam Said.
He noted that all the artists will be the same level regardless of their status in the music industry, adding that the idea was hatched by BuchaMan which he accepted and had to immediately see how this could come to pass.
He explained that over 1,000 artists registered with their songs and they zeroed down to only 200 that will attend the function with only five best selected and shall be awarded.
The overall winner shall be given UGX 5M and 5 cows, 2nd (UGX.4M), 3rd (UGX. 3M, 4th (UGX. 2 M) and 5th (UGX. 1M) while the rest shall be recognized with medals and certificates.
Buchaman, the presidential advisor on ghetto affairs thanked all those that came through and was grateful that president Museveni had accepted them to have the awards after a cry from numerous artists have been affected by COVID- 19.

According to the organizers, only one song should be sent and anything more to the song shall lead to automatic disqualification and strictly those promoting the current regime shall be allowed.
