NTUNGAMO- The Bishop South Ankole the Rt Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe has reminded the public to cleanse their bodies and hearts in Jesus’ blood while still alive in preparation for God’s kingdom.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe noted that whoever dies in Christ shall not perish but shall have the everlasting life.
He made remarks on Saturday at the burial of late Mauda Kazaire Katuregye in Karambi, Nyarutuuntu sub county, Ruhaama county in Ntungamo district.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe told mourners that eulogies said on one’s death are equally translated into what one has been doing while still on Earth.
He commended the late Mauda Kazaire Katuregye for fighting a good battle in her Earthly journey asking all mourners to emulate her deeds.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe was assisted by the Dean St Mathew’s Cathedral Kyamate the Very Rev Canon Joash Tushangyomujuni among other clerics.
All children led by Lay canon Tinkibyenda Richard, Tukamuhabwa Jovilet and Turyashaba Darius described their mother late Mauda Kazaire Katuregye as a woman with noble character who was ever smart, elegant and God fearing.
Lay canon Tinkibyenda praised God taking their mother which has enabled them to bury her rather than burying them. They thanked the Katongore Jackson Bells and for the support towards nursing and footing medical bills.
The brother to the deceased the former principal Bushenyi PTC Katongore Jackson Bells Ruzimure and his wife the former Principal Kiyoora PTC Lay Canon Mable Katongore noted the late Mauda Kazaire Katuregye developmental and soft spoken who could not reveal the family secrets.
Katongore thanked her for being a hospital person who nurtured young married couples in the family.
He thanked all people from walks of life for assisting them and asked the young generation to always cooperate if they are to help one another.
The LCV councilor for Nyarutuuntu sub county Niwagaba Pius commended the deceased for being a good citizen and warned the general public against taking the mushrooming drinks that may ruin their lives before reaching elderly stage.
The late Mauda Kazaire Katuregye aged 94 years succumbed to heart complications and left 4 children, 74 grandchildren, 57 great and one great great grandchild.
