Catda Vs Luwero United

Luweero United is set to battle CATDA FC in the finals of the Buganda Regional League promotional playoffs on Saturday afternoon.
Luweero United overcame Buwambo United 4-2 through post match penalties in one of the semi-final duels played at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Thursday.
Goalkeeper Farouk Yawe was heroic for Luweero United, saving two penalties during the penalty shootouts, denying Alex Kiyegga and veteran Ronald Seku.

Yawe had also saved a penalty in the first half when he dived to his right and thwarted his Bernado Kateregga’s kick from 12 yards in the 40th minute.
Buwambo’s two goals in the shoot-outs were scored by captain Saul Ntambazi and William Kinene.
On the other side, Joshua Kigozi, Joseph Nkabirwa, Ivan Nambafu Pepera and Tadeo Ddumba had the respective kicks scored for Luweero United.
In the other semi-final tie, Ivan Mayanja scored twice as CATDA FC beat Edgar’s Youth 2-0 to secure a place in the final.
Both Luweero United and CATDA FC will face off in promotional playoffs final on Saturday at the same venue and the winner will represent Buganda Region in next season’s FUFA Big League.
