RUKUNGIRI- The Mbarara based Bwizibwera United Football Club has qualified for the Regional league football for the 2022/23 season after exhibiting excellent performance in Mini-zonal league matches.
Bwizibwera qualified after hammering Rubirizi based Lions FC with a goal to nil in the games being played in Main Stadium and Kagashe playgrounds all in Rukungiri District.
Mathias Akatukunda Malidad the Bwizibwera United FC vice Chairperson extended gratitude to the supporters and the support from Bunga Bet Africa who have injected in huge sums of money to ensure that the team reaches this milestone.
Akatukunda promised the funs that having qualified to this level, their eyes are now wide open and set to winning the trophy in preparation for the next step in Uganda’s football level.
Prosper Tuheise the Bunga Bet Chief Executive officer confided to our reporter that the company is Committed to supporting sports activities not only in Uganda but the whole African continent and beyond.
The club joins others like Rwenshama United Football Club from Rukungiri district and Kyambura United from Rubirizi district.
The tournament that is set to end on Thursday June 16th 2022 will see organisers promote six to seven clubs to the next football flight where the best performer qualifies for the Big league football.
