The U18 Uganda National Team (Women) will take part in the FIBA Africa U18 Championships set to take place in Antananarivo, Madagascar from August 4-14, 2022.
In a press statement, the Federation of Uganda Basketball Association [FUBA] stated that the team will depart on August the 5th for the games.
This is after they won the qualifying tournament which was held in Kampala in June 2022.
FUBA says the girls have been undergoing training (residential camp) at the Africa Bible University Campus in Lubowa under the stewardship of coaches Mavita Ali and Roger Serunyigo and they are ready to take on the challenge against Africa’s best junior sides.
Hudson Ssegamwenge, the Secretary General of FUBA appreciated the government of Uganda through the National Council of Sports for supporting the team and making sure that they travel to represent the nation on the continent.

The Ugandan side will depart for Antananarivo on August 5, 2022 and they will need to finish among the top Team to qualify for the FIBA Under 18 World Cup due this year
