NEWS– A section of former guild leaders and students of Kabale Technical institute in Kabale Municipality are protesting poor leadership and harassment of students and staff members by the Administration.
The protesters led by Tukamushaba Naboth Teriyeitu who was the guild speaker between 2013 to 2014 and Seguya Pius the 2012 to 2013 Guild President said that they cannot sit behind and look on yet their former school being ruined by individuals with selfish interests.
The duo accuse the principal Mr. Francis Tibamanya for witch-hunting students and instructors on several occasions citing the recent arrest of the current guild President who was later released on police bond.
They told our reporter that the poor leadership and other mentioned issues have affected the school enrollment of students and performance respectively.

Among other students include the former 2013-14 sports minister Patrick Tugume, Botha Akampurira the former Kabale technical institute student all equally raised a concern about how the school is being run and call upon the relevant authorities to intervene and transfer the principal in order to restore the lost glory using the responsible stakeholders.
They gave the Board of Governors an ultimatum of three weeks to write to the Ministry requesting for the immediate transfer or resignation of Tibamanya or they mobilize themselves and go to the institute and force him out of office.

When contacted by our reporter in a telephone interview, Francis Tibamanya the principal said that he is currently in Kampala on official duty but confirmed all happenings including heavy security deployment at the institute.
He promised to come on board and explain all related matters concerning the institute once he lands in Kabale.
