By Mariam Nakalema A kadama, which is a loose local reference to a Ugandan housemaid in the Arab world, has accused a TV presenter of failure to pay back her loan of sh1.5m. Silver Nawebwa said TV presenter Jovan Kakulu Niwa borrowed the money from her while she was working in Saudi Arabia. Jovan had allegedly told Silver that he would refund the money immediately she returned to Uganda. TV presenter Jovan Kakulu Niwa When Silver returned to Uganda in April, she tried to contact Jovan in vain. He had blocked her. Jovan, however, insists Silver gave him the money out of love. The two are now friends turned foes. “Silver wanted me to be her boyfriend, which I refused. That’s why she is claiming she lent me money, yet she gave it to me out of love.” Silver is adamant Jovan is twisting her words. She was thus left with no other choice, but to report the case to the Central Police Station in Kampala. The kadama, however, says she is yet to be helped. She says she has no money left, that she has been thrown out of her rental. She is now seeking help.
