RUKIGA– The Police in Rukiga district are investigating circumstances under which a 35 year-old man collapsed and died instantly while on his way to a health facility for treatment.
Elly Maate the kigezi regional police spokes person identified the deceased as Kenneth Tindyebwa a resident of Rwenderema A cell, Ibugwe parish, Rwamucucu Sub County in Rukiga district.
Maate says that on the 16/05/2022 at unknown time the deceased was assaulted by Majugo Dennis at unknown place but later the local council leaders tried to mediate and later reconciled them.
However, Maate adds that on 10th June 2022 at about 09:00am while the deceased was heading to the health facility for treatment, he collapsed and died instantly.
He noted that Police were notified by one Ketty Kabarungi, mother to deceased, the scene was visited,documented, body retrieved and taken to Kabale referral hospital mortuary for postmortem.
He revealed that police are currently hunting for Majugo to have him arrested for questioning.
The statement on murder case has been registered at Rukiga Central police station under reference number CRB 249/2022.
