KAMPALA– President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has held talks with his Democratic Party counterpart Nobert Mao at Entebbe State House.
The two principal political leaders have signed what has been termed as a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which will see both of their parties (DP and NRM) work closely together.
According to a privy source that attended the meeting at State House, the Memorundum of Understanding has been branded as “Cooperation Agreement.”
At the meeting which was described as cordial, President Museveni and Chairman Mao were flanked by their Party Secretary Generals who included Hon Richard Todwong and Gerald Siranda respectively.
The meeting was also attended by Museveni’s and National Resistance Movement Party Lawyer who is also the President son in-law Edwin Karugire.
Mao, a prominent opposition leader has for long been accused by his colleagues in other opposition parties of working clandestinely with the government of President Museveni.
