Rubindi SS Students trying to put out the flames
Another school fire this morning broke out at St. Andrews S.S Rubindi in Mbarara District, destroying learners’ belongings.
The fire broke out on Thursday morning inside of the dormitories in the boys’ school.
School authorities said the fire also managed to catch and destroy another nearby dormitory before it was put out by the students and locals.
At the time the fire broke out, the students were at the morning assembly.
The cause of the fire was yet to be established.
This is the forth school fire that has been reported in the week.
On Tuesday fire gutted the dormitory housing S.2 students at Mary Reparatrix Girls’ Secondary school Bugonga, Entebbe Municipality, Wakiso District.
Just last night a girl’s dormitory at Rushanje Girls Secondary in Rweibogo ward, Rwampara District also went up in flames.
Last week on Friday, Police Fire brigade put up a massive fire at Mbarara Secondary school which also destroyed a dormitory and student’s belongings worth millions of shillings.
