A platform formed to popularize Land Forces Commander Lt. General Muhoozi Kainerugaba and foster economic development of residents has been launched in Kigezi sub region.
Over the weekend, the Team MK Project led by the western Uganda coordinator Gerald Agaba launched various coordination committees in the Kigezi districts of Rukungiri, Kanungu, Kisoro, Rubanda, Kabale, and Rukiga.
In Kabale the launch was held at the District council hall and was attended by various district leaders led by Nelson Nshangabasheija the district chairman; Nakawa RCC Sheikh Kassim Kamugisha, Godfrey Nyakahuma the Kabale RDC, Sam Arinaitwe the Central Division LCIII chairman among others.
Mr Agaba said at the event that he formed the MK project to unite Ugandans for their wellbeing despite their religious affiliations, tribe and political parties.
The project, he said, is very sensitive in nature, and warned the commissioned committee members to be keen, conscious of their actions in public and be ambassadors of the project to mobilize masses.
He also told people that the project is also aimed at developing different talents among Ugandans, to foster value addition and contribute to the growth of the country.
Agaba on the other hand revealed that the MK project is also aimed at ensuring a systematic transfer of power in the country.
On his part, Nelson Nshangabasheija the Kabale LC5 Chairperson praised and thanked Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba for leading the efforts that saw the Uganda-Rwanda border reopened at the start of this year
“This has revamped business in Kabale and Kigezi sub region and it shows that he has leadership potential as his father President Museveni,” he said.
