By Hussein Kiganda A drama called Love For Inheritance produced by Aisha Namatovu is set to premiere at Hotel Africana on October 1, 2022. The movie tells the story of a rich man, Rajab, who works so hard for the future of his children, but dies while they are still young. He leaves no Will. His closest sister, Maimuna, chases away the widow and takes over the property, leaving the children to suffer. Left with no choice, they are forced to struggle through life to survive. The movie features; Aisha Namatovu, Eva Sheeba Mwangangye, Jackline Nalumansi, Romario Gama and Iryn Sseremba as leads. It was directed by Taddeo Ssesimba. Namatovu told The Kampala Sun that Love For Inheritance was inspired by a true story that happened during COVID-19-induced lockdown. “It’s a true life event that happened to my closest friend when her father died amid the COVID-19 lockdown. The people they trusted as family members threw them off their father’s property. I have seen this happen to so many other people. Thus the inspiration to write the story and the movie,” she said. Namatovu asked Ugandans to turn up for the premiere because she believes there is a lesson to learn. “We may work hard for the future of our children, but we should know that death comes unexpected, so preparing ourselves for it is paramount. I, therefore, urge Ugandans to come to enjoy and learn at the same time,” she said. On the same day, another movie, Blessings, directed by Taddeo Ssesimba will also be premiering. It features Jalia Ssemambo, Derrick Muhindo, Shafik Ashavin Agaba, Marion Mwine, and Robert Niwamanya as leads.
