NEWS– The Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Anita Among has revealed that President Yoweri Museveni has assented to 8 bills which were passed into Law.
According to the Speaker of Parliament those bills that have been passed include Stamp duty (Amendment) Act, 2022, the Income Tax (Amendment) Act, 2022, The Value Added Tax (Amendment) Act, 2022 and the Tax Procedures Code (Amendment) Act, 2022.
Others are the Tax Appeals Tribunal (Amendment) Act, 2022, he Electricity (Amendment) Act,2022, the Appropriation Act,2022 and the Landlord and Tenant Act, 2022
The Speaker thanked the the President for the quick response and congratulated all the Members of Parliament for the dedication that made these Legislations possible.
