Hon Midius Natukunda Kaharata showcasing liquid soap making skills to Rwerere Women
NEWS- The Rukungiri district Woman Member of parliament Hon. Natukunda Midius Kaharata has advised women to open up small businesses which can increase their income and sustain their lifestyles.
Hon. Natukunda was on Friday June 10th 2022 addressing women under their group “Rwerere Women Association” at Rwerere Church of Uganda in Rwerere town council while enrolling them into Liquid soap making a skill that will improve their income.
Through “Kaharata Initiative for Youth and Women Empowerment” which aims at equipping women and Youth with knowledge and skills of making money, Hon. Natukunda revealed that she is ready to help women in the district with skills like liquid soap making, table mats among others that will improve their household income.
Speaking with women under “Rwerere Women Association” the legislator urged them to open up small business, develop a saving culture as one of the easiest ways to get out of poverty.
She encouraged women to register their developmental groups with relevant authorities if they are to benefit from government programs since it nolonger helps individuals.

Aisha Busingye, Kelen Ketty Tiwangye and Uwimana Scovia, some of the group members thanked Hon. Midius Natukunda for timely responding to solve their problems during the current times of high commodity of prices including soap.
They added that through the skill of liquid soap making, expenses in their families will reduce in addition to earning income hence eradicating poverty.

According to Hon. Natukunda Midius Kaharata, this is the 6th women group in the district to be equipped with skills of making money and is ready to help other groups as long as they are ready to learn.
