Uganda Cubs head coach Hamuza Lutalo has trimmed off ten players from the squad in preparation for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Initially, 41 players were summoned on the provisional squad that went to camp at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
The list of released players has Isiko Ismail (Sunset Academy- Mbale), Ssonko Ssembatya Hafidhu (Kampala Junior Team), Anywar Abdul (Kibuli S S), Mukiibi Sadi (Devine Soccer Academy) and Ronald Mwokye ( Dynamic SS).
Others include Mudiba Samir (Express Fc JT), Mayanja Abdul (Synergy Fc), Khayemba Usama (Nkoma SS- Mbale), Yahaya Toure (Oasis Primary School), and Timothy Owere (Lugazi Soccer Academy).
The tactician Lutalo is however, expected to trim off more players from the remaining 31-man squad to get the final roster for the AFCON tournament schedule to take place in Morocco next month.
The Cubs qualified for the final event as Champions of CECAFA Region after defeating Tanzania 3-1 in the Final played in Rubavu, Rwanda last December.
