Frank Baine addressing the UPS applicants
Thousands of applicants this morning turned out for the Uganda Prison Services recruitment as the countrywide exercise kick starts.
The exercise was flagged off by the UPS spokesman Frank Mayanja Baine at Luzira Prisons Ceremonial Grounds, Kampala.
According to Mr. Baine, the nationwide recruitment exercise that kicked off on Monday 13th June will run up to Saturday 18th June 2022 in all the 147 districts of Uganda.
He described the turn up in Luzira as massive.
Major requirement centers have been established in the districts of Arua, Soroti, Moroto, Mbale, Jinja, Mukono, Kampala, Masaka, Mbarara, Fort Portal, Mubende, Kabale, Hoima, Lira, Gulu and Masindi.
Charles Ziraba, the UPS head of Human Resources said only those between the ages of 18 and 30 are eligible.
He also warned against presentation of forged documents.
