The suspect now in custody is soldier UPDF no. AX 017942 Private Bobson Amutuhaire who is accused of attacking three villages and opened gunfire at residents.

Information obtained by this Online Publication indicates that Amutuhaire committed the offense over the weekend in Ryeru Sub county Rubirizi district and later went into hiding.

Those that were gunned down include Scovia Timbakizire 42 resident of Muwanda B cell, Conrad 22 from Nkondo B cell and Olivia Ninsiima sister of the late Conrad all residents of Ryeru Sub County.

The four others who sustained injuries are admitted at Kampala teaching hospital and their conditions are not worrying.

Rubirizi District Police Commander Abel Muwonge confirmed the incident stressing that they got a tragedy on Monday morning past midnight that said UPDF soldier had committed.

Now SP Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi police spokesperson says Amutuhaire is already in their hands and he will answer what pressed him to such an extent of killing innocent Ugandans.
