Mityana Municipality MP Zaake Francis Butebi has flown to US for specialised treatment.
Zaake says he arrived well in the United States of America for specialized treatment of his paralyzed legs on Thursday.
He will also be treated for his back plus solving the issue for the fear of light in his eyes as advised by his physician.
Zaake“I pray that the US doctors carry out the treatment therapy fruitfully so that I get back to perfect shape again!”
Zaake was at the start of the year beaten by soldiers who blocked him from visiting Bobi Wine’s home in Magere, Wakiso district.
At the start of February 2021, Zaake said he was undergoing different physiotherapy sessions which involves the use of electric currents passed through my body to stimulate the nerves and muscles, chiefly in the treatment of body pain and paralysis.
This is the second time Zaake is flying out for treatment after being beaten by soldiers.
In September 2018, Zaake and Bobi Wine flew to US and India for medical care after allegedly being tortured by security officials.
Both men said they were tortured after their previous arrests, and a Kampala hospital had referred them for medical care abroad.
