Bobi Wine’s wife Barbie Kyagulanyi has said that for five hours Sunday evening, Ashraf Kasirye underwent surgery on his head.
“We will wait for a detailed report from the doctors on what they actually managed to do to save his life,” National Unity Platform first lady said on Monday.
“What I know in simple terms is that he had some bones of his skull removed because it was shattered. Ashraf is in ICU right now undergoing treatment. Let us all pray for his quick healing.”
The Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) party candidate Mugisha Muntu said the incident in which Ashraf was shot and Francis lost is sad and highly regrettable.
The security services need to start deescalating this situation because many more incidents keep happening, people are losing lives, tensions are building in the country, Muntu said while campaigning in Kiboga district.
“I’d like to urge those who are in power and in security services to be aware of The Law of Unintended Consequences, because a number of times you can carry out actions and think you’re in control of the situation but one action sparks off a reaction that you’re not able to contain,” he added.
Barbie’s statement on Frank Ssenteza death
Those terrorists in our police uniform shot at Ashraf, then signaled their military counterparts to mount a roadblock in Busega where the ambulance which was rushing Ashraf to Lubaga hospital was stopped for sometime.
It is at this point in Busega that those murderers cornered our security team in a death trap, knocked Frank dead and still followed the whole team to Lubaga hospital where they teargased everyone in the hospital compound.
Watching doctors do the best they could to save unresponsive Frank was a terrible scene. Stomaching the dreaded announcement of his death is even more heart wrecking.
Rest well Francis. The “street” and all its dwellers may never recover from your departure.
