Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has been granted bail.
The National Unity Platform Presidential flag bearer was Friay arraigned before the Chief Magistrates Court of Iganga following his inhumanely brutal arrest on Wednesday in Luuka District.
His lawyer Medard Lubega Segona sought bail for Kyagulanyi by referring to his torn clothes.
Segona said the clothes were key evidence in his defence case were taken away by police.
This was the altercation after they were taken.
Segona said his client’s torn clothes were proof that he was tortured.
Iganga Chief Magistrate Jessica Chemeri granted Bobi bail and released him from prison.
Court asks him to abide by the Ministry of Health and Electoral Commission guidelines.
He is expected to report back to court on December 18, 2020.
