I’m insulted by gay talk, says Bobi Wine
Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu lost his cool on Monday when NBS TV host Simon Kaggwa Njala asked him about his linkage to homosexuals.
“I feel insulted to be drawn into a sexual talk hours to the elections,” Bobi Wine lashed out during an interview at his Magere home.
“I’m married to a woman. I find the sexual talk very diversionary.”
He said his party is a mass and has been calling people to come out and massively vote.
This is a life-changing election, he said while coming on this Thursday’s election.
He said the campaign period has precisely been a war zone and continues to be.
“The electoral process was taken over by the military. There has never been so much murder. My entire campaign team is in prison. We, however, thank God we are here.”
Bobi Wine on NBS Morning Breeze showHe said it is the duty of the Electoral Commission (EC) to announce the results, it is also the role of EC to hold free and fair elections, “but you have seen they have been silent”.
“We are not looking at EC for answers, but we are looking at the people of Uganda. UVote App is to ensure that we have accurate results.”
According to Bobi Wine, the NRM said they, will have their tally center, and the EC hasn’t come out to say anything about it.
Museveni’s regime is treating this election as a military operation, he noted.
“We are asking the people of Uganda to step in so that we can overwhelm the dictator. We are using the UVote App to bring us together across the country.”
