Police at Katwe are investigating a violent incident of assault and robbery that took place on 26.12.2020 at around 2200hrs.
It is alleged that Musisi Baker, who was riding his motorcycle UEA 144B TV Star black in colour on Luwafu Road, Makindye Division, realised that two boda boda riders were trailing him.
He reduced the speed and decided to stop thinking they were probably security officers signalling him to stop.
One of the perpetrators parked in front of Musisi’s motorcycle and the other parked on the side.
One perpetrator charged at Musisi; “You are the people keeping the man in power”.
Another perpetrator immediately hit him with an iron bar on the head.
Although the victim was wearing a helmet, the force of the iron bar broke its shield and injured his left eye.
He was robbed of his wallet containing Uganda shillings 50,000, national identity card, Techno phone valued at Uganda shillings 450000 and campaign posters of presidential candidate Yoweri Museveni.
The suspects fled the scene. He was later found by passers-by and rushed to hospital.

The suspect is being held on allegations of robbery and assault.
Exhibits, including a blood stained shirt, have been recovered and investigations are on with aim of identifying other suspects.
