The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Martins Okoth Ochola has warned those planning to riot during and after January 14 elections that they will regret why their mothers gave birth to them.
Ochola said they have been planning to secure the elections for two years and those attempting to riot should be prepared for the consequences.
“I would like to assure the whole country that whoever causes trouble will regret why his or her mother gave birth to him or her,” Ochola said Friday while addressing press in Kampala.
He said there are political leaders who are urging their supporters to go in large numbers and monitor the elections on false claims of election fraud which is against the EC guidelines.
“There is no evidence of voter fraud,” he noted.
He said there is already a robust security structure that will secure the election.
