Yokas Bwambale, the husband to Kasese Woman MP Winfred Kiiza, has returned to Bundibugyo to canvass for Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) presidential candidate Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu after being released on bond.
Bwambale was arrested yesterday and charged with doing an act likely to spread COVID19.
He, however, insists that the arrests are only a disruption intended to deter him from his mobilization efforts.
“A joint operation of the Uganda Police and the Uganda People’s Defence Forces have arrested my husband, Hon. Bwambale Yokasi Bihande, when he was canvassing for votes for Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu in Kikyo-Bundibugyo District,” Kiiza said on Thursday.
“It’s extremely frustrating! Earlier today, the Hon. Bwambale Yokasi Bihande was released on bond.”
“Thanks to all those who acted swiftly to secure his release,” she said.
Winnie Kiiza speaks to press Kiiza said they won’t be diverted by police and will pressure President Museveni not to threaten Ugandans who are yet to vote him out.
