Laban Tibita (Left) in UPL action for Tooro United
Jinja based Uganda Premier League side Busoga United Football Club has landed forward Laban Tibita.
Tibita joins Busoga United on a two-year deal from FUFA Big League relegated side Maroons Football Club.
The former Kawempe Muslim Secondary School student spent the whole of 2019/2020 season on loan at Tooro United but also had earlier brief stint at Edgars Youth Team.
Previously, Busoga United signed contract extensions with buzzing goalkeepers Rogers Omendwa and Ali Kimera alongside left-back Julius Debo Junior who have all committed their stay in Jinja for two more seasons.
The club has also had departures who sought for greener pastures in this window such as midfielder David Bagoole (Vipers), Ibrahim Mugulusi (BUL FC), Benson Wagima (Bright Stars) and Nelson Mandela (Maroons FC).
Coached by Abbey Bogere Kikomeko, Busoga United finished the previous season in the 4th position on 42 points in the 25 matches played before the COVID 19 outbreak that cut the league short.
