How Mowzey Radio’s death changed Kasuku’s perspective on life forever

Renowned media personality and YouTuber Isaac Katende a.k.a Kasuku has revealed how comments he made about singer Mowzey Radio eventually caught up with him after his death, and changed his perspective on life forever.

When Radio (Mowzey) died, that was my turning point. When Radio died, a fool brought back an audio of me saying, “If you don’t stop being violent, someone will beat you and break your head.” Incidentally, that is what happened to him. Luckily, that audio had been made about 6 months or a year before the incident.

Kasuku believes that because he had been tough on criticizing artists, they banded together and made a petition and forwarded it to the Nation Media Group, asking for me to be fired off radio.

A few days after Radio’s burial, Kasuku was asked to take a break from the radio, using the petition that was written to NMG and forwarded to the Uganda Communications Commission.

They wrote to UCC through General Muhoozi and Kayihura. It was a bloody encounter. At the time, NMG defended me and even wanted to take it to court.

What shocked Kasuku the most was that some of his close friends, through fake Facebook accounts, attacked him online, calling for his resignation.

Kasuku remembers taking a one-month break from radio, but upon his return, the same cocoon of musicians then dragged him to the police, alleging that he had reliable information about the death of Mowzey Radio because of the statement he had made in the infamous audio.

It was at that point he reflected and realised whatever he was doing wasn’t really worth it. He has not been hard on people since and states that it changed him forever. He has set his boundaries and lives a normal life.
