Sasha Brighton has shared the story behind her career shift, revealing why she abandoned her dream of becoming a TV host to fully pursue music.
Sasha Brighton said her initial ambition was to work on television, largely driven by her love for beauty and being in the spotlight.

She explained that she envisioned herself dressing up, looking good, and appearing on camera, not necessarily for what she would present, but for the attention her looks would attract.
However, her journey took a different turn after she dropped out of school while still in Senior Five. Sasha revealed that she only completed the first term before giving up on her education due to repeated expulsions.
I stopped in S.5, and I only studied for the first term. My mother was the only one paying my fees, but I gave up after they kept expelling me from school.
My dad was alive, but they related more with my mum, who was the head of the family. I got tired and dropped out.
Despite the setback, Sasha Brighton didn’t let the experience define her future. Instead, she redirected her energy into music, a decision that would later pay off.
The singer credited Geoffrey and Irene Namatovu for discovering her during auditions and giving her a chance to join their band.
