Gift ov Kaddo, real name Gift Kyambadde, has commanded all music blogs that uploaded his music to their sites to take it down immediately.
In an interview on RedNuts King Kampala, the former Goodlyfe singer revealed that so many online platforms upload artists’ music without their permission.
He believes that it is very exploitative behaviour, as these platforms do not pay for the royalties of the said music and selfishly continue to reap what they didn’t sow.
He has since asked veteran deejay and music promoter, DJ Erycom, to delete all his music off his platforms.
Delete my music from your blogs immediately. All those bloggers and people like DJ Erycom, I want this message to reach you – take it down now. I am not getting a coin from these people, so they must stop using it.
He keeps boasting that he owns assets in Masaka, but he acquired them through our music. He uploads each new song released without permission. Remove mine now. You cannot keep using us like slaves because we invested a lot in music.
